The team of the Heavy Ion Accelerators supported the Research School of Physics, Australian National University in delivering the Quantum Science Open Day last weekend.
The day was a great success with over 300 visitors attended public talks by world-leading researchers, visited ANU cutting-edge labs, engaged with the quantum experiments, games, and demonstrations, and—of course—plenty of N₂ ice cream and holographic chocolate enjoyed by visitors of all ages!
Under the leadership of the Associate Professor Rose Ahlefeldt, we thank more than 50 staff and student volunteers from the HIA, Australian National Fabrication Facility (ANFF), ARC Centre of Excellence for Transformative Meta-Optical Systems (TMOS), ARC Centre of Excellence for Quantum Computation and Communication Technology (CQC²T), Quantum Brilliance and Acacia who made this event possible.
