Tours
Heavy Ion Accelerators deliver over 50 tours annually to high school students, science teachers, researchers, delegations of international organisations and foreign missions, and other groups.
If you would like to arrange a group tour of our facilities, please contact us via HIA.admin@anu.edu.au.
For the general public, we open the doors every year in August as part of the National Science Week initiative. Follow us on Eventbrite to be the first to know when we run our next Open Day event.
Tours are offered across two locations:
- The University of Melbourne, School of Physics, Experimental Condensed Matter Physics Accelerator.
- The Australian National University, Heavy Ion Accelerator Facility (HIAF) and Ion Implantation Lab (iiLab).
Or take a virtual tour of our largest facility, the Heavy Ion Accelerator Facility.
